WordPress Installation Guide

This guide walks you through the steps required to install WordPress and prepare your website for the KERAPY theme. Please follow these instructions carefully to ensure a smooth setup process.

Step 1: Download WordPress

1. Go to the official WordPress website.
2. Click the Download WordPress button to get the latest version.
3. Save the downloaded ZIP file to your computer.

Step 2: Set Up a Web Hosting Account

To install WordPress, you need a web hosting service that supports PHP and MySQL.

• Recommended Hosting Requirements:
  • PHP version 7.4 or higher
  • MySQL version 5.7 or higher
  • HTTPS support

Some popular hosting providers for WordPress include:

• Bluehost
• SiteGround
• WP Engine

After purchasing a hosting plan, log in to your hosting account.

Step 3: Create a Database

1. Access the control panel (cPanel) provided by your hosting service.
2. Look for the Database section and select MySQL Databases.
3. Create a new database and note down the:
   • Database Name
   • Database Username
   • Database Password

Step 4: Upload WordPress to Your Server

1. Log in to your hosting account via FTP (using an FTP client like FileZilla) or your hosting’s File Manager.
2. Upload the downloaded WordPress ZIP file to the root folder of your domain (e.g., /public_html).
3. Extract the contents of the ZIP file.

Step 5: Run the WordPress Installation Script

1. Open your browser and go to your domain (e.g., https://yourdomain.com).
2. You’ll see the WordPress setup wizard. Click Let’s Go.
3. Enter the database details created earlier and proceed.
4. Choose a Site Title, create an Admin Username and Password, and enter an email address.
5. Complete the installation process and log in to the WordPress admin panel.
